Were yall you guys thinkin of me last night? Or maybe you don't even watch baseball, but heard this morning when they started "spreadin' the news" that the NY Yankees won their 27th World Series Title!!!!!! It was a late night, but there was so much excitement in the Green Acres house!! And, what a way to win, in the Bronx at home in their new stadium. Just like in 1923!
27 outs for the 27th World Series title, for #27 Yankees Manager Joe Girardi. Did you know that 27 is my favorite number? Not only are mine and Lil D's birthdays on the 27th day of the month, but I was born in '72, which is 27 backwards. And, how fitting that our team this year was the Lil Yankees and then the Big Yankees pulled it off and won the World Series! It's a year that I know our family will never forget! The first in the new stadium, which we are planning to go to in April for Lil D's first Yankees game ever! We can't wait!
What a great series to watch last week, over the weekend, and then again this week. We are so excited at our house, and so proud of our team! And, very, very sleepy after many late nights staying up to watch the games. Today is a good day to be a Yankees fan!
15th Wedding Anniversary!
15 years ago today, I married the sweetest, gentlest, kindest man who is my very best friend, an awesome dad, and the rest, as they say is history. He turned me into a Pittsburgh Steelers fan after growing up in a household of NY Giants fans(which I still root for by the way, unless it's against the Steelers!), and I turned him into a Yankees fan like me. Isn't he glad?! 2 winning teams...for a winning couple.
I couldn't be happier married to this man. He is my rock, my comforter, my soul mate, "the One" God chose for me, a good, kind, honest, man that I fall in love with over and over again each and every each day. Happy Anniversary Baby! Here's to a lifetime of many more years together...I love you!!
